This potsticker soup is easy to make and packed full of nutrition. If you are looking for a soup for your family that rivals your favorite Chinese restaurant wonton soup, then you’ve come to the right place! Best Potsticker Soup Recipe Like Chinese Wonton Soup It’s that time of year when the weather changes and everyone starts getting the sniffles. I usually stock up on my sick day essentials once fall arrives. Of course basic chicken noodle soup is a favorite. But you can only have the same soup so many times. This homemade potsticker soup is a great alternative and it’s loaded with the same classic veggies. I love the soy sauce and sesame seed oil flavoring along with the tasty grilled potstickers. ingredients for potsticker soup This is a great dinner recipe that can be made vegetarian style or with meat filled potstickers. This potsticker soup cooks up quickly and can even be frozen and heated for future meals. Making the soup is easy. Simply chop the onions, carrots, and celery and grill in a large stock pot. Then add the chicken stock and bring to a boil. Grill the potstickers in a separate pan. Finally add the potstickers to the soup and add in spinach. Make a large pot of the soup and freeze the leftovers for those times when you are feeling a little sick (see our sick day essentials here). There’s nothing better than homemade soup when you are feeling under the weather. potsticker soup at Sweetie Pie and Cupcakes

Here are some tips for making this potsticker soup taste even better:

  1. Add minced garlic or ginger to the pot.
  2. Grill the veggies until the onions caramelize. This will provide added flavor!
  3. Add chopped bell pepper, broccoli or leaks to the potsticker soup for added greens.
  4. Add the spinach at the very end so it doesn’t break down too fast. You could even serve the soup without spinach and let family members add spinach and bean sprouts as desired.
  5. Pan fry the potstickers until they brown a little on each side. This helps them hold their shape once they are dropped into the hot soup.

I’m making this tonight, but going only use my pot. Sauté potstickers first in stock pot, remove add vegetables, etc. You get flavor of potstickers yummies in your soup.
